Preface
This is the second edition of Time Tested Tradition and includes several new chapters that address discoveries made after the original edition was published. Some of these additions are profound, such as the chapter on Lucifer’s Declared Plan in Isaiah to replace the authoritative sign of the appointed times and have it rule over God’s people and block out the greatest light, the sun.
New insights from an ancient Hebrew copy of Revelation strongly suggest that Revelation was originally written in Hebrew and that Revelation 12 is about a great light in the heavens, clothed with the sun, at the foot of a certain woman that heads a cycle, the first of 12 constellations. This provides profound support for both the sign of the start of the month and the start of the year.
Lastly, this edition introduces and explores the fact that the Hebrew word for “full moon” and the Hebrew word for “throne” are identical when you remove the oral tradition and focus solely on the ancient written records. This opens up a wide range of new insights into the nature of Solomon’s throne and the implications of the “great white throne/moon” judgment.
All told, this evidence further strengthens and confirms the primary conclusions about when the month starts and exposes some ambiguity about when the year starts in certain years and locations.
This edition also reorganizes the book into seven parts, so the shape of the argument is visible from the Contents: the rules of evidence, the case for the biblical calendar, the testing of the Sabbath, the year of the cross, the reign of Herod the Great, and what the evidence demands — salvation and obedience — with the reference material gathered at the end. Herod’s chronology now stands in its own part, so the greater argument keeps its flow while the deep proofs remain on hand for whoever requires them.
Two additions serve the reader throughout. A Glossary of Terms gathers the working vocabulary of the book — the calendar’s own terms, the symbols the lights carry, and the chronologist’s apparatus — each entry citing the chapters and verses where this book proves its meaning, or naming the companion volume, MEAT The Bible’s Symbolic Language, where the full derivation lives. And a Scripture Index locates every passage cited in these pages, so any claim can be traced back to its verse and weighed.
Taken together, these additions were profound and meaningful enough to justify releasing a second edition so that Time Tested Tradition can remain the go-to comprehensive record of all evidence for the heavenly calendar.
How to Use This Book
Some words in this book carry defined or symbolic meanings the reader is not asked to assume: sun, moon, stars, shadow, weeks, and the calendar’s own vocabulary — renewed moon, keseh, lunar sabbath. Marked words point to the Glossary of Terms near the end of the book, where each entry states the meaning and cites the chapters and verses where this book proves it — or names the companion volume, MEAT The Bible’s Symbolic Language, where the full derivation lives. When a claim seems to turn on a word, check the glossary first; the entries are short, and every one carries its evidence.
Readers who want to see how the complete argument fits together — or who want to test one disputed step without rereading the entire book — can turn to the Evidence Outline in Part Seven. It maps the dependencies among the book’s major conclusions, distinguishes source records from calculations and interpretations, and points back to the page where each branch is developed in full.
